Appointed by Dr. Allan Botkin as an Executive Director of the IADC International Board, César has accompanied individuals through transformational journeys since earning his Master of Social Work degree at the University of Michigan in 1996. He became an EMDR practitioner in 1999 and a Certified EMDR Therapist in 2006. César is also a Level II graduate of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute. After teaching at a University of Michigan training institute, he co-founded Partners in Healing, a psychotherapy training organization providing workshops, seminars, and individual and group consultation to senior therapists. César now offers training to grief therapists throughout the world. He has published on the subject of innovative interventions for grief and has presented at international conferences including the EMDR International Association, the Association for Death Education and Counseling, and the International Gathering of the Spiritual Guidance Wisdom School. In 2021, he opened Valdez Consulting, LLC where he offers his transformational skills to visionary clients in a consulting, coaching, and mentorship role. César lives with his family in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
